Heather Taylor has taken a passion for beads and beading from a hobby to retail bead store, Bead Junction in about three years. She began by creating and selling custom pieces, teaching, developing patterns and kits and selling bead supplies. Her wonderful sense of colour, technical abilities and patience have served her well, becoming a recognized bead artist in Toronto. She continues to develop new kits and is constantly pushing the boundaries of colour and technique in her own beadwork.

A necklace designed and created by Heather was a finalist in the 2004 Bead Competition sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems, a major US retailer.

In her desire to expand her skills and introduce international bead artists to the Toronto beading community, Heather has previously arranged for well-known US artists and teachers such as NanC Meinhardt and River Rose to teach in Toronto. She has carried this forward to Bead Junction, and brings internationally recognized bead instructors, teachers and artists to Toronto at least twice a year.
