Some great new books
We just got in a couple of great books, The Workbench Guide to Jewelry Techniques and Totally Twisted to join our current collection.
The Workbench Guide has photographs showing step by step techniques from Carving and Casting to Plating and Polishing and everything in between. The chapter at the beginning of the book titled "Jewelry Making: A Brief History" has some amazing photos. In fact the photos through the book are stunning.
Totally Twisted focuses on wire work, using lampwork beads. The colours are eye-popping - they certainly hit the definition of eye candy for me. Many of the projects use tools that average beader will have on hand and could be worked up in a short period of time. Great weekend projects.
